I attended a conference, situated on the second floor so I cannot comment on rooms. The Clayton Hotel is situated less than five minutes from the train station, its an easy walk and simple to find. The facilities were clean and kept well maintained. The staff were all very friendly when I engaged with and the food served at the buffet that was provided was hot and very tasty.

We had afternoon tea on New Year's Day at the Clayton Hotel in Cardiff. The sandwiches were very nice. The scones were warm and tasty with cream and jam. All the sweet treats were so yummy. Good variety. The fruit juice was pineapple and lime mixed with other fruit juice which was sweet and refreshing lovely mix. This was truly perfection. Thank you for making our day. We will definitely return.
Had an amazing stay at the Clayton hotel. We stayed in an executive room on the 10th floor with a fantastic view. The buffet breakfast was amazing with so much variety including continental, pastries, various cereals and yoghurt and a full cooked. We had an evening meal there with dessert which was delicious and a few drinks and cocktails at the bar to finish the night off. The staff serving us were so friendly. The Clayton is located in such a good area of the city. A minute from the train station and close to all the bars restaurants and shops. They had an issue for a brief period with the lifts on the Saturday morning but it wasn't an issue. Notices were put up directing us to the service lift and a member of staff met us on the first floor guiding us to the restaurant. Would definitely recommend this hotel and have nothing but praise for all the staff we encountered during our stay. Can't wait to come back! If I could change just one thing and this was something my partner and I agreed on it would be the music playing in the bar and restaurant in the evening. It was awful but at the same time gave us a giggle.
Kareena was very helpful, patient and provided fast and efficient service. Very polite and welcoming. Really enjoyed our meal ahead of a concert. Even sources a takeaway box for leftovers. Wonderful experience.
Excellent location, right in the centre, great for an overnight stay close to bars etc. Able to park at the nearby rail station. Nice clean and modern. A lot of rugby fans but was sociable not rowdy. Some minor glitches in communication but I Booked via Booking.com not directly which may have contributed. Would have been nice to have ale on tap - although they had Guiness, Lager and Cider. Breakfast was the only meal we had which was good (not amazing but everyone was pretty happy with choice and quality)
We stayed in a deluxe room which was very clean, warm and spacious. Great facilities in the room including a coffee machine and pods,a kettle and fridge containing 2 cans of lemon Fanta,2 bottles of water and 2 kit kats. We had a lovely breakfast starting with fresh fruit and yogurt then a fresh cooked breakfast. Only downfall was that there was only 1 coffee machine in use causing long waiting times. Also it was a nightmare catching the lift and walked a few times from 11th floor. Staff were very helpful and friendly. That's why I gave a score of 10. The hotel is central to everything and we will definitely stay there again.

Had a super afternoon tea today — everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The service from Corrina was wonderful; she was so attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel extra special. A lovely treat and I’ll definitely be back!
